The Midway Cafe
3496 Washington St
Jamica Plain, MA
Pro's
Small Venue (this will be a con also)
love the punk crowd
Have punks shows very regularly
Atmosphere- We love the place
Good Drink Prices
Good Drink Selection
Friendly Staff
Quick Service
Con's
Small Venue- since the expansion we notice people hover either in the small area that leads to the back or in the back of the venue, the beauty of the pre expansion days was that you could have 30 people in there and it would seem like a sell out crowd
Parking- Like any venue good luck finding onstreet parking on a weekend night
Overall there is not a thing we would change about this place, all venues that put on punk shows can learn a thing or 6 from the Midway, we are proud a place like this exsists for our scene

PVD Social Club Review
PVD Social Club (formerly Jerky's)
71 Richmond St
Providence RI
Let me start off by saying we may be a bit biased here seeing I work there from time to time as do many of our friends, but I'll try to be fair giving some pros and cons
Pro's
Mid sized venue
Good Prices(both ticket and drinks)
Good sound
Good Staff
Clean
Caters to both local and national acts
Supports the local arts
Large Bar
Con's
2nd floor venue(was an issue when I drank a lot)
Large Bar while we have it as a pro it's a con on busy nights when all sides of the bar are packed and the bartenders at times can't keep up
Restrooms, for a venue this size the restrooms are large in size however they are set up poorly
Smoking area, currently using the back ally, however if a venue opens in Hell's former spot, it may be back to standing on the flight of stairs
Parking, there isn't a single venue in Providence that will get parking as a pro unless they have their own lot, you are either spending money to park in a lot or driving around the city trying to find on street parking
No ATM
Final review
Overall PVD is the place to be if you want to support you local arts or catch a good national act, be treated fairly and not leave completely broke, though remember you may have to wait for a drink on busier nights
